Any idea how to control Zoom and Focus using this head?
The controls on the Proaim Jr Pan/Tilt Head are for the pan and tilt head exclusively, and do not interface with the camera or control it.The easiest way to control your camera's zoom/focus while it is on a crane or jib would be a wireless follow focus system.

What exactly do the damping controls do? Do they control the "ramp up" and "ramp down" speeds on the motors?
The damping control of the Proaim Jr Pan/Tilt Head with Joystick Control prevents the Head from stopping with a jerk enabling you to achieve smooth endings.

How noisy is it? Compared to the VZ-MC50? Will a nice boom mic, like an MKH 416, pick it up from a few feet away?
It is not unduly loud. A nice boom mic, properly positioned, will not pick up the noise from the motors.

Is the joystick proportional speed or is it strictly directional?
The Proaim Jr Pan/Tilt Head with Joystick has proportional speed only.

Does this come with the proaim power pack?
No, the Jr Pan/Tilt Head will not come with the Proaim Power Pack. It will come with a standard power supply and an Worldwide Power Converter.

Does this work with the Proaim Alphabet 21' Jib/Crane Arm?
Yes, PT-JR is compatible with Proaim Alphabet 21ft Camera Jib.

What is the thickness of the aluminum making up the arm?
The thickness of the arm is 8mm.

There are five holes on the mounting plate. What is the spacing and diameters of said holes?
The distance of holes on the mounting plate from hole to hole is 65mm.
There are four slots of diameter 6mm, and one 3/8" thread in the center of the mounting plate.

How much power can use this for 3 hours filming? I have 101V battery do you think this battery is enough for one camera and Proaim to use the at the same time?
PT-JR operates on 12-volt DC, and we provide an AC adapter designed for this purpose. The adapter accepts an input of 100-240V AC and provides an output of 12V DC.
Also, if your battery has 80watt, then you can use it for 5-6 hours.

Can the motors run on 18V DC or should I step down out batteries to 12V?
You can use max battery power of 12V.

What is the wiring information for the 4 Pin XLR connector
The 4-pin XLR connector is used, in which the 4th number pin is used for DC positive, the 1st number for DC negative, and the 2nd & 3rd numbers remain unused

Is this DMX controllable?
No, there is no connection of DMX with the Proaim Jr. pan tilt head.
